Chris Matthews gaffe: Credits President Obama for bailing out Ford
Chris Matthews says Obama, unlike Mitt Romney, has shown his business acumen by being “very good” at picking winners when he bailed out the auto companies. Matthews touts Ford’s success as an example of Obama’s “business character.”
Except Ford didn’t receive a bailout.

Alan Mulally, the head of Ford now, has taken them to number five in the country as a profitable corporation. Ford is back as the number five most profitable company in the country right now.
