Michael Fassbender eerie in David 8 ‘Prometheus’ viral video
Meet the Weyland Industries’ 8th Generation Android: David…or David 8 as it is known.
The viral video featuring the Michael Fassbender character from “Prometheus” exudes a creepy and yet exciting atmosphere for film.
Fassbender’s resume includes Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglorious Bastards” and the critically acclaimed “Shame,” but fans likely know the actor from “X-Men: First Class” where he played the villain Magneto.
Ridley Scott’s “Prometheus” sets the star as Weyland Industries’ 8th generation android – David. The cool and eerie ad which introduces the Module 8 project has gone viral across the Internet. The David-8 is a very advanced android capable of imitating humans, their emotions without (as the video says) without the ‘distressing’ or ‘unethical’ concerns.
To avoid conflict with Jennifer Lawrence’s “Hunger Games” schedule, the “First Class” production will begin in January. Fassbender will indeed return as Magneto, but no other details or other villains are confirmed.
No official title or date for the fifth “X-Men” film has been announced.
Here’s the official synopsis for Prometheus:
