What did you miss in the news this week?
Inspired by the weekly spot on 1787 Network Radio Show with Alex Snitker and Adrian Wyllie, Desk of Brian reviews the week in news along with the podcast of that week’s broadcast.

While the pundits and radio jocks molested the minds of their Conservative audiences praising Mitt Romney and Rick Perry on their Monday night debate performances, the US Embassy in Afghanistan was under attack by the Taliban.
Now I found it strange that several of the candidates and the neo-conservative movement have been so obsession with keeping troops overseas (see Lindsey Graham’s latest warning) and yet blatantly omitted such a bold, daytime attack staged by our enemy in Afghanistan.
On Wednesday morning I was encouraged that the corruption of the Solyndra deal had made headlines. The FBI raid and the $530 million failure from the Stimulus Plan couldn’t possibly be ignore!?!?
Well, for two hours anyway.
The BP oil spill returned the media to more comfortable ground – attacking those evil corporations.
Last week, on the 1787 Network Show, we joked about making it onto watch lists and being tracked by Homeland Security. This week, DOB was contacted by the piracy agency of FOX asking us to remove two set photos from next summer’s film: “Prometheus”, directed by Ridley Scott and has ties to the “Alien” series.
What made the exchange comical was that they were targeting DOB and not some of the countless other websites who had also posted the photos. The response: “You guys are at the top of our list.”
Badge of honor.
This is last week’s podcast (will be replaced after the broadcast)
