Dear Michele Bachmann, careful what you say…the liberals make lists

I find it amusing that the political divide love to only monitor their political enemies, keeping scorecards only on the opposition. President Bush is viewed as a bumbling simpleton who could barely get through a speech while President Obama’s miscues, especially away from his teleprompter, are only quoted by the extreme right.

So, now that Michele Bachman has officially announced her run for President, the liberals raced to put together a list of her errors called “The 9 Craziest Things Michele Bachmann has ever said”

“What I love about New Hampshire and what we have in common is our extreme love of liberty…You’re the state where the shot heard round the world in Lexington and Concord.” ~ March 12, 2011 speech to the Republican Liberty Caucus of New Hampshire.

Note: The 1776 Battles of Lexington and Concord took place in Massachusetts.

“We will talk a little bit about what has transpired in the last 18 months and would we count what has transpired into turning our country into a nation of slaves.” ~ July 9 2010 Western Conservative Summit in Denver.

On The First Black RNC Chairman: “Michael Steele! You be da man! You be da man!” ~ 2009 Conservative Political Action Conference

On The Census:

“I know for my family, the only question that we will be answering is how many people are in our home. We won’t be answering any information beyond that, because the Constitution doesn’t require any information beyond that.” – Interview with the Washington Times, June 17, 2009.

Note: The Constitution doesn’t say that. It’s illegal to not fill out the entire Census.

More On The Census:

“Take this into consideration. If we look at American history, between 1942 and 1947, the data that was collected by the Census Bureau was handed over to the FBI and other organizations at the request of President Roosevelt, and that’s how the Japanese were rounded up and put into the internment camps. I’m not saying that…that’s what the Administration is planning to do…”

On Government Spending:

“During the last 100 days we have seen an orgy. It would make any local smorgasbord embarrassed…The government spent its wad by April 26.” ~ Tax Freedom Day Rally, May 2, 2009

On The Swine Flu:

“I find it interesting that it was back in the 1970s that the swine flu broke out then under another Democrat president, Jimmy Carter. I’m not blaming this on President Obama, I just think it’s an interesting coincidence.” ~ Interview with Pajamas Media, April 27, 2009.

Note: The 1976 swine flu outbreak occurred during Gerald Ford’s presidency. Ronald Reagan was president during another, smaller, outbreak in 1988.

On Climate Change:

“The big thing we are working on now is the global warming hoax. It’s all voodoo, nonsense, hokum, a hoax.” ~ March 15, 2008 speech at the Sherburne County Republican Nominating Convention.

“There isn’t one such study because carbon dioxide is not a harmful gas, it is a harmless gas. Carbon dioxide is natural. It is not harmful. It is part of Earth’s life cycle…And yet we’re being told that we have to reduce this natural substance and reduce the American standard of living to create an arbitrary reduction in something that is naturally occurring in the earth.” – 2009 Earth Day speech on the House floor.

On Homosexuality:

“Normalization (of gayness) through desensitization. A very effective way to do this with a bunch of second graders is to take a picture of “The Lion King” for instance, and a teacher might say, “Do you know the music for this movie was written by a gay man?” The message is: I’m better at what I do because I’m gay.” ~ November 6, 2004 speech at Edwatch National Education Conference.

Now does that picture of her looking skyward like she’s Gaddafi or somebody answering to a different authority, does that picture look like intensity, rage or this woman’s a little daffy? – Chris Matthews on Hardball talking about Bachmann on the cover of Newsweek

  2. Miller says:

    LMAO

  3. Conan O'Brien says:

“Michele Bachmann said her hometown of Waterloo, Iowa, is the birthplace of John Wayne, when it is actually the birthplace of serial killer John Wayne Gacy. She then said her favorite sitcom from the 80s is ‘Charles Manson in Charge.’” –Conan O’Brien

Not sure what a “Truther” is but i was lucky enough to have Mr Lasky teach me AP World History at Jefferson High School. He taught me history was written by the winners and to get the real truth to any story, you had to read between the lin…es. There are 3 sides to every story. There’s your side, my side, and the unbiased truth. Unless you try to get all 3 sides to any story that interests you, you’re just getting spoon fed main stream’s version of baby food.

So you’re saying you are a “Truther”

FYI, i have some inside info on how George Bush will be rated by Historians. You know the ones who right history and more importantly the American History books that students will be reading for generations to come. They are all saying Geor…ge Bush will go down as our worst president. If it wasn’t for the 911 Ommision Report it would already be a forgone conclusion. The Truth Is Out There. Not that I believe every word of it but if you look up 911 Coincidences on YouTube and watch all 16 parts, there are very interesting and suspicious evidence exposed. No one will say officially or risk losing their jobs, pensions, and possibly put their entire families at huge peril, but just about every cop and fireman in New York know it was an inside job. I’m still hoping I live long enough to be able to see the evidence that got sealed when John F Kennedy was assasinated. 75 years is a long time to allow criminals to enjoy their lives. I hope Bush, Cheney, and the lease holder on the Twin Towers don’t get 75 years.

  7. John says:

Vince – I remember those dark days very well…Back then any type of George Bush criticism was extremely taboo and the first time I can recall being around any sort of like minded people was the opening weekend for Fahrenheit 911…Even the…n people were still extremely defensive of Bush…What made him unpopular was high gas prices…Americans knew we were screwed up by Bush’s policies but didnt care until gas hit $4 a gallon…He could have spent $100 trillion bombing Mars and the American people would have supported it until it hit their wallets at the pump…But like you said…Atleast Bush was given a chance…The same people concerned about budgets now are the same ones who were defending cutting Bush endles blank checks…

  8. Brandon says:

Well again we’ll disagree: I’ll never attempt to defend George W Bush but I wouldn’t say he was the worst President of all time but he did lower the expectation when it came to golf and vacations. Obama has done a great job of convincing ev…eryone he is “working so hard” but he played more golf in his first year than Bush did in 8. Meanwhile, Obama doesn’t ever want to miss a chance of playing basketball. Both are a disgrace IMO and the perceptions are based on the media coverage.

  9. Vince says:

In all fairness when comparing George Bush to Barack Obama, the amount of criticism is like night and day. George Bush spent like a total of 3 weeks on the job in the 1st 6 months of his presidency the rest of his time on his ranch and tour…ing America and ignored the memo that many experts worked so hard to uncover the information about Bin Laden’s plan to attack America. It wasn’t till about the time Fahrenheit 911 came out that we all realized he was the worst president in American history before he took any critism. Obama went to work imediately upon signing in and began being criticized the following day.
