The tequila rocker was lured into a series of questions regarding his interest in UFO’s and his interest in numerology and psychics. The conversation evolved from a light-hearted discussion regarding the influence of these topics in his songs to a full blown diatribe into his abduction by aliens.
Hagar was asked point blank by the interviewer, Eric Spitznager; “Were you ever abducted by aliens?”
“I think I have,” said Hagar. Who then explained how he had things “uploaded” or “downloaded” to his brain, at a time before the terminology even existed, long before wireless phones and the internet, explained Hagar.
“F***, they downloaded something into me,” Hagar said.
He then brought up a UFO sighting dating back to when he was a four-year-old living in the country. He described the UFO as a “car with no wheels.” He claims he threw rocks at the UFO and then blacked out, keeping the story to himself for many years.
Prior to the alien stories, the interview was focused on Hagar’s dislike for Van Halen’s former front man David Lee Roth. Hagar describes Roth as a “phony” who is surrounded by five ex-football players serving as his bodyguards.
Hagar recently released a new book titled, Red: My Uncensored Life in Rock.
