Youths quote Declaration of Independence yielding standing ovation in Tampa
The second day of the Save America Convention kicked off with a recitation of the Declaration of Independence by three young children and not a single attendee was left seated when they walked off of the stage.
The Pollack family greeted attendees by reciting from memory the Declaration as the patriarch, Michael Pollack, strummed a melody on his guitar.
Young Luke spoke “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” and the audience could feel chills riding up their spines.
Chills of love, pride and patriotism.
As the crimes of the King were quoted by Luke’s younger sister Maria, the silence was deafening. By the time the youngest Pollack spoke the Founders’ words tears could be found in eyes of the listeners.
America dreams of passing the torch from each generation to the next and watching these three children quote the great document reminded the audience of that mission and the hope we have in the next generation.
As every single individual stood applauding, cheers echoed from the rear of the convention hall and the children bounded off of the stage with pride.
Honestly, we, the audience members, are more proud of them than they could ever realize.
