Patrons may have been exposed to measles at Colorado Olive Garden

The Mesa County Health Department issued a news release on Monday letting customers of a popular restaurant know they may have been exposed to the viral infection, measles.

The restaurant in question is the Grand Junction Olive Garden. Health officials warn that if you were at the restaurant on Tuesday, December 28, 2010, between the hours of 6:30pm and 10:00pm, you may have been exposed to a suspect case of measles in an unvaccinated person visiting from out of state.

The alert also talks about symptoms to be on the look for if you are not considered immune:

Fever of 101 or greater, rash that begins on or around the face and spreads to the rest of the body, runny nose, cough, and red, watery eyes.

Persons are considered immune to measles if they have either had two doses of the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine (MMR) or have been previously diagnosed with the disease.
