Montauk Monster; The Truth (Video)
The unidentified creature that allegedly floated ashore and was found dead in July 2008 near a beach in Montauk, New York, and gained name of ‘Montauk Monster’, has been identified as a Raccoon.
The Montauk monster has been keyed out as a Raccoon after an analysis of dental models and particulars of its front paws. Since the time of its discovery, the Montauk monster is the subject of various speculations and debates.
The mystery commenced when in July 2008, a local newspaper ‘The Independent’ published the story and picture of a quaint creature found by a young man named Main Britton and his three friends at the Ditch Plains Field.
In the beginning, the creature was termed as a “Dog Bonacville” whereas others suggested it as a turtle. However, later on, after close examination, it was noted by the East Hampton Natural Resource director, Larry Penny, that the creature is a raccoon with a missing upper jaw.
