New Column: Reading B-Tween the Lines (advice from a 12-year-old, The Tween)
“If God was so loving, why would he send people to hell?” –Anonymous people
How many times have Christians been asked this question, but not having an accurate answer? More importantly, does God really send people to hell?
Before I answer these questions I would like you to know I am not condemning anyone. I am just answering a question many people have.
Now, does God really send people to hell?
There is one simple word that will answer that question.
No.
He loves us too much to do that. We are his children. You may now be asking, then how do people get there? Does He just choose his favorite people, or choose the one’s that did a lot of good things.
Well, no. He doesn’t.
As I said before, He loves us all and we are all his children. He allows things to happen to us so he can get our attention. He tries to tell you this.
So, why are some people in heaven and others in hell?
Well, it is simple. That was their choice.
In fact, God doesn’t choose where you end up and have to stay at for eternity. It saddens Him to watch his children suffer, but they brought it on themselves. He delights in those that live at his right hand in heaven.
So He tries to get our attention and tells us what we need to do so we can rejoice with Him in heaven after our bodies die. He does not tell you directly face to face. He tells you through his believers…through people like me.
I may be young, but He can use everyone that is willing, even if they are only a Tween like me. He is calling to everyone reading this.
Where do you want to end up? It is your choice.

Very nice job! Keep it up, we love it!
I found out about your post when I met you & your family for lunch today. I’m very impressed. You’re a lovely young lady and a talented “tween” writer. I hope to get to meet you again sometime soon & talk with you a bit.
Great job on your first post Sierra. You are an inspiration to all of us, young and old. Thank you for reminding us of the intrinsic value of faith. I look forward to your future writings.
I also love your avatar….lol
What a wonderful column from a wonderful young lady. I can’t wait to share this with others. Thank you for so simply stating the obvious and what God wants not only the young, but all his children to know. Can’t wait for your next column.
Your welcome. I was just trying to translate what the Bible says about the real world.
